John Grote has
over 20 years engineering experience with a variety of products through
the complete design, development and validation life cycle. He has
successfully designed conceptual ideas and developed the details
into production products which currently fly on military and commercial
aircraft, drive on the road and operate in industrial plants. He
has three patents in these fields.
Mr. Grote has been in the center of innovative product
design and development programs since he graduated from The Ohio
State University in Mechanical Engineering. He has an established
track record designing products for production in the highly competitive
cost world we live in today, with the quality the consumer demands
and within the time table for a successful production launch.
John’s areas of expertise include design of
mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydro-mechanical, and fluid control
devices interfacing with open and closed loop embedded control systems.
He has successfully led new product design teams, managed engineering
departments, established program management techniques, defined cost
reduction programs and implemented design center quality systems
including QS9000. John is Six Sigma certified and has put these tools
into practical application for successful product design programs.
These tools include: Critical Parameter Management, FMEA, Critical
Path Planning, Statistical Dimensioning, DVP&R, Testing, FAA
Certification, Robust Design Analysis, Capability Studies, DFM, APQP
and Preliminary & Critical design reviews.
Mr. Grote’s expertise in engineering management
and product design development—ranges across flight and braking
control systems to diesel engine fuel systems and automotive cooling
control
components and systems.
